I used to wear long socks always. Black or dark green with all manner of shoes.
I just think I would look like I was off my meds if I did it these days...or look like an overweight hockey player...

I notice you are reading The Divided Heart? I have picked this up many times in my local bookshop but have not bought it ... yet! Is it good?
